Improvisation Workshop with Terry Keevil at Stony Brook University

Terry Keevil, oboist, performer, certified Music for People improvisation teacher, and fellow member of the Hidden City Orchestra will be leading this improvisation workshop. Based on the premise that any combination of people and instruments can make music together in meaningful and fulfilling ways, the workshop will allow musicians of all backgrounds and abilities to experience the joy and adventure of music improvisation in a safe and supportive environment. Open to everyone who loves music – instrumentalists, singers, performers and listeners.
Directions: Enter the campus via the main entrance on Nicholls Road and park in the garage next to the Administration Building, which is free of charge on the weekends. Walk out of the garage and cross the traffic circle with the fountain. Go towards the Staller Center, pass under the breezeway and to your left, you will see a set of four doors with the word MUSIC written above them. Go through these doors into the lobby of the Music Building. Take the elevator down to the basement. Go to the left, and walk down the long corridor to the Orchestra Room, #0111, which will be on your right.
